Buying a Tandem Double Buggy

A tandem double travel buggy buggy can be a fantastic option for twins or children who are close in age. They're a bit smaller than side-byside buggies and ideal for navigating tight spaces, such as entrances, on public transportation and on rocky terrain.

Some are able to be converted into travel systems that use two carrycots or child car seats. They are typically heavier, longer and less stable than a single pushchair.

Convertible

If you're looking for convertible single-to-double stroller or want to add another seat to an existing one, there's a variety of options available. It is more expensive and less maneuverable since the second seat is placed on top of the first seat. Other options include twin stroller with car seats buggies that have all-terrain wheels and joggers with fixed wheels that can accommodate two kids. These tend to be more expensive, but they're made for long-distance trips over rough terrain, and may have greater resales value.

Independent seat recline

If you want a double stroller which can accommodate children of different age groups, you'll need one with a recliner that is independent for both seats. This allows your child of a higher age to rest while the baby is sleeping in a bassinet, and the reverse is true.

Think about the size of your pushchair, as this will determine how easy it is for you to maneuver through doors and on public transportation. This is especially important when you have a young child in the rear seat who may want to lie back and relax while the older child would prefer to sit up and observe their surroundings.

Some brands have a unique design that allows the back seat of their vehicles to recline to a position that is almost flat, ideal for babies. Most of them can be folded down to size one buggie, which is helpful if you struggle with storage at home or have to transport it into and out of the car when you travel on public transportation.

It's important to remember that a large double buggy will be heavier and bulkier than a compact single buggy, so make sure it's what you require before you buy.
