Amazon Cancels iRobot Deals

Amazon has canceled its planned purchase of Roomba maker iRobot, saying the deal faces "undue and excessive regulatory hurdles." Amazon will pay iRobot a $94 million breakup fee.

The acquisition was deemed to be anti-competitive according to the European Commission (the EU's executive arm, and also the top antitrust enforcer).
