The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning robot mop and vacuum habits, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay for if you want one of the best sweep mop robot robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving on.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best affordable robot vacuum performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can also remove wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum plus mop known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of simply following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are useful however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
