If you're looking to save money and don't need a stroller that doubles into car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels solid when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold that fits in aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to 'perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The base YOYO2 frame, curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack form a stylish pushchair that is easy on the eye, with a subtle but elegant design and a tasteful branding. The base frame alone weighs just over a kilogram and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do so one-handed).

It's also simple to add or remove attachments or adaptors like the hood for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30deg to prevent stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller after 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who want a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be transformed from a stroller into the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then decide the best single stroller 2024 mode for their journey. It performed better in our push and turn test than many of the strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only a direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger sunshades.

It took us under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. However, it is missing certain essential features that we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is suitable from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be easily converted with only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

It's a breeze to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child out and in quickly. Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. While walking through the stony trail, we let them move and it did this quite well, although it seemed a little bumpier than others that we tested.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It folds easily and fits into the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It's a bit heavier than other strollers we tried, however the wheels are made of rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and sturdy. It's a breeze to maneuver across all kinds of terrain, and it's also a breeze to lift, even when loaded with two kids and a shopping bag.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, however it does have a large basket that's deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of a lot of parents when it first came out. It's an aluminum-framed stroller that can be used from infant's first days until. It's got a few notable features, including the ability to flip the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis comes with a built-in suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam and reduce punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

This single buggy with buggy board pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and features great dual suspension, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also lightweight and durable. The seat can be reclined into various positions. It also is equipped with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect it's not as quiet as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be configured to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be placed so that they face each other. They can also be oriented towards the parents. This should reduce sibling arguments over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a big tray for gears as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automatic frame lock and a compact fold.
