Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was a return to a traditional sextet style, and a more consistent, stronger effort with a harder edge. The more edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the maturation in the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature.
