The Xplore comes with two canopy options that are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for the entire family. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This may not be suitable for long trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it does not flex as much as some other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models, and it does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move, however, and it can fit through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

Other key features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

It performed better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested, but it is still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopies.

The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or allow them to swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate during our walk on the stony path. It was able to handle this well, although it seemed to be a bit bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, jogging strollers. However, they also manufacture a vast selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is simple to use and folds up small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers we tried, but the wheels are a rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all kinds of terrain, and it's easy to move even with two kids and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are water-resistant and durable unlike other prams' hoods that are turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's large enough to fit an infant's changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a single travel stroller system for babies as big as 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

The travel system is also available with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes come with only one action and are colour coded. They also are compatible with flip-flops.

This budget pushchair is simple to operate and features an excellent dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also super lightweight and durable. The seat is reclined in various positions. It also comes with a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great it's not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be configured to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be set so that they face each one. They can also be positioned to face the parents.
