Easy to install

After you have removed the old cover, use an flat-head screwdriver to take out the four major attachment clips located on the passenger side of the fob assembly. These are marked with red on the image below. Note the yellow locating tabs that need to be disconnected.

After removing the battery replace it with a new CR2032 3 volt coin cell battery. The "+" side of the battery should face the opening on the fob, and the "side that is "-" side should be facing the rubber buttons.

Re-attach the passenger side mirror cover by aligning the locating tabs. Once you've done this take the fob for the driver's side back in your car and test it. Press the button on the front of the key. If everything is functioning properly the car should turn on the parking lights, and the doors will lock automatically.

Easy to remove

The BCM will then read the transponder on the key fob to confirm that it is valid.
