It's simple to push, and it is solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels, made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6+ months colour pack combine to create a chic pushchair with a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The frame itself weighs just over a kilogram and is so light you can lift it directly from the box (and do so one-handed).

It's also easy to attach or remove attachments, adaptors, or adaptors such as the hood, for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks and is machine washable to help deter stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be transformed into a stroller after 6 months with the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents looking for a stroller that is versatile. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply turning the handle, so parents can select the mode they prefer for their trip. The wagon can fit two or three children ranging from 6 months to five years old. It has a huge storage basket that can accommodate everything you need while on the go.

The Xplore comes with two canopy options that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as deep or large as other wagons, so it may not be suitable for long-distance excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it does not flex as much as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors, and it does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents seeking a second stroller that's affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also has an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the most compact we tested, with only a direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it is missing some essential features we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller, like a large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is billed as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in only a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.

It is really easy to maneuver, and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the huge shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child out and in quickly. This narrow pushchair handled every day bumps and doors effortlessly.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or allow them to rotate which helps when covering rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel while walking along a stony path. It was able to handle this well, even though it felt slightly rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain jogging strollers. But they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is easy to use and folds up small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers that we tried, but the wheels are a rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver across different terrains, and even with two kids with shopping bags and other items.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a big basket that's deep enough for an infant's changing bag and plenty of groceries. It can also be connected with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be used on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of a large number of parents when it first debuted. It's an aluminium framed stroller that can see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It is a standout model with many unique features, like the ability of the seat to be flipped between parent and world facing as well as a large UPF50+ canopy, a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. It was easy to push and our tester was able to maneuver the vehicle through the narrow streets.

It folds in just four steps and automatically locks with no fuss. It can also be folded and stood up for easier transport down the stairs, or in the boot of the car. It also comes ready with the option to include a car seat or carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are simple to use, using a single colored and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to operate and features a fantastic dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It's also super lightweight and durable. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress built in that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors, which can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect - it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets in the way it is, however you can use it from the beginning by purchasing adapters to most seats from brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and put together within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The instruction manual is easy to comprehend and contains multiple languages.
